Why are there so many different coatings?
A short overview:
There are many different surfaces that require antifriction treatment. Only tests can prove the effectiveness and longevity of an antifriction coating / lubricant. Speed, visibility and price are all important factors when considering which product is appropriate.
AC 612/21 is practically invisible, very flexible and used for leather and vinyls but also in gaps between ABS and chrome materials or other directly visible areas in a multitude of vehicles.
AC F27 is a price efficient, all-round coating that can be applied to hard and soft surfaces. It is invisible and absorbs vibration.
AC F20 is a hard laquer for complicated problem areas and high pressure zones.
AC644-W is specifically for high pressure areas and functioning parts like cupholders that need to glide smoothly.
Water based coatings need time to dry. Heat shortens drying time. In order to be able to assemble or use parts immediatley a coating in paste form may be utilized.
PEOX is a price efficient paste that is quickly applied to vinyl or leather parts that must be assembled immediatley.
